OZ tells cancer patients to avoid soy

New research in Australia has found that a high consumption of soy-based food can be harmful to cancer sufferers.

The New South Wales Cancer Council says while soy foods can slightly lower the risk of contracting breast cancer, latest research shows that high doses of soy can actually stimulate the growth of existing cancer.

A statement by the state council says research also found that soy supplements can interfere with breast cancer treatment.
