Authentic Essiac (Part 5)

Introducing Dr. Charles A. Brusch

One of the essiac formulas being tested was a four herb version meant to be injected through the skin. This four herb formula was never meant to be consumed orally. In 1959, Rene Caisse decided to take further action to seek approval for her remedy. Since physicians weren't permitted to inject this formula without government approval, she was concerned that her valuable work may be lost forever. Dr. Brusch invited Rene Caisse to his Brusch Medical Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in an attempt to work together and develop an oral formula which had the same effectiveness as the injection. There were fewer government rules and regulations surrounding a formula made to drink as opposed to an injection administered by shot.
